Welcome! The Swan is a beautiful, privately owned Freehouse built in the 16th century and situated in the heart of the Essex village of Little Totham near Maldon. Known for it's warm welcome, delicious food, drinks and fantastic staff who go the extra mile for our customers.  We serve food every day and have a wide selection of real ales, draught beers, wines and spirits. Spring / Summer 2024

The weather is warming up to match the warm welcome you'll get when you visit The Swan. Coming into our summer season sees the village Vintage Car Show, The Swan's annual Summer Beer Festival and the Little Totham Village Fete amongst The Swan's regular Quiz Nights and Open Mic Nights.  Along side these events, we offer a great selection of food and drinks to choose from.

Sunday Roasts

Our Sunday Roasts are very popular and we’re regularly fully-booked.  If you have a family party or celebration or just don’t fancy the cooking or washing-up, give us a call to reserve your table for one of our roasts.  We also offer our classic roast as a takeaway option too!

Open Mic Night

Join us on the last Thursday of the month at 8pm for our ever-popular Open Mic Night.  Turn up early to put your name down to join in or just come down for a drink or two and enjoy the evening’s entertainment.

Quiz Nights

The last Saturday of each month from 8pm is Quiz Night! An evening of friendly competition and laughs. If nothing else, you'll go home knowing a little bit more trivia than you started the day with...  £2 per head with all the proceeds going to our charity for this year which is the Brompton Fountain, the charity is there to support parents whose children are being helped at The Royal Brompton Hospital. Maximum 6 to a team.
